Matusalem 23 Years is a gran reserva rum made with solera, an aging system used in sherry wines, brandies and other exclusive distillates.
Solera involves blending several types of very old rum with younger rums, so that the optimum flavor and quality level is maintained.
The result of this blend is an average of 23 years old, thus achieving an exquisite rum rich in nuances.

Color: deep amber with coppery orange hues.
Smell: of great complexity. With very varied notes, from honey and vanilla to hazelnuts and other nuts. In the background appear more toasted and sweet aromas, such as caramel and toffee, which give way to fruitier notes, such as coconut.
Flavor: smooth and creamy. Hints of burnt sugar appear, followed by more spicy sensations such as licorice, juanola pastilles, balsamic and tobacco notes. The finish is long and allows you to enjoy the glass without rushing.
