Chacom pipes are exported to 35 countries around the world. The production of briar pipes began in the 19th century and remains the hallmark of the Saint-Claude region.

Heir to a centuries-old know-how that is emblematic of its territory, the CHACOM team strives to modernize the image of the pipe while respecting its history. Since 2013, the Chapuis-Comoy & Cie workshops have held the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label, a State distinction that rewards companies with exceptional know-how. In 1825 they started manufacturing boxwood pipes for Napoleon’s “grognards”, then in 1856 they became the pioneers in manufacturing them in briar.

In 1922 the CHACOM brand was created, which expanded throughout Europe and modernized its manufacturing process.

From 1946 to the present day, CHACOM becomes the first brand in the French and Belgian markets and its commercial escalation takes place worldwide. It was awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label, a state-recognized label that distinguishes French companies with exceptional know-how.
